Hayes 50th Anniversary Golden Hour Session | East Tennessee Family Photographer

I’ve known this family for about 20 years now; my husband has known them longer. In all of those years, they have grown to be some of my favorite people. The stories they have from their life, their travels, their ranching, and their families could fill a book.

They have a shared passion for family history, traditions, craftsmanship, hunting, fishing, and raising cattle. They also have a deep love for each other, their children, and their 15 grandchildren.

The property they live on now has been in Kay’s family for 7 generations. We stood on the hill, overlooking Lick Creek and the mountains in the background and she pointed out the little house she grew up in and she told me stories from her childhood. It made me want to set up my video camera and start recording a documentary of their life.

Here are just a few previews from our session on Lost Mountain with a couple that is truly dear to my heart. I hope you see the love and the commitment between them. Their foundation is built firmly on Jesus and He has brought them to this Golden Year.
