Lily | Newborn

My first session with Matt and Rebekah was their engagement session. I’ve since photographed their wedding, Rebekah’s maternity session, and now I have had the privilege of photographing their beautiful little Lily.

Our church family prayed for a long while for Matt & Rebekah to have a child. After what seemed like ages, our prayers were answered. When the pregnancy was announced, our church gave a collective gasp and then applause took over the service. What a sweet sweet day. That joy would turn quickly to mourning as a few weeks later that precious little baby would go to be with Jesus. We know that God is sovereign and that He has a plan even when we don’t understand or when our hearts are aching. That baby was a life from conception. He or she was loved by an almighty God and is still deeply missed by the family that never got to know him or her.

We began, once again, to pray that God would fill their arms with a child, and He did. Sweet Lily arrived safely and mommy and daddy have been cherishing every moment with this beautiful little one. This session was special and I am in love with the results.
